Pithy: A statement that is brief but full of substance and meaning.

Forgiveness: the action or process of forgiving or being forgiven


Forgiveness is the intentional and voluntary process by which a victim undergoes a change in feelings and attitude regarding an offense, lets go of negative emotions such as vengefulness, with an increased ability to wish the offender well.

Mindfulness: the quality or state of being conscious or aware of something


Mindfulness is the psychological process of bringing one’s attention to experiences occurring in the present moment, which can be developed through the practice of meditation and other training.



Compassion motivates people to go out of their way to help the physical, mental or emotional pains of another and themselves.

Ubunto: a quality that includes the essential human virtues; compassion and humanity


Ubunto is a Nguni Bantu term meaning “humanity”. It is often also translated as “humanity towards others” but is often used in a more philosophical sense to mean “the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity.”
